One match

Darkness ticks at us.
But we know it's only noon.
Happiness taunts us
And reaching only leaves fun.
Poverty eats at us
For we know we are not amoung them.
Conflict finds perfumed peace in us
Sufficently hiding the smell.
Demons knock at us
Our natures will open the door.
Darkness chimes on loudly
And tip-toes timelessly by
Waiting for us to notice we have only a match to light the moonless midnight.
